The story is about a couple who get married with hidden agendas but the later fall in love. They are bound to overcome the obstacles of shielding them from their goal of happy ever after.  The main characters are the Silvia Navarro’s "Catalina” and "Sebastian” (Sergio Basanez) are entwined in the ambitious struggles of their families, putting their love at test. Before Catalina‘s family forcing her into marrying an old rich man "Don GuadaLupe Mendoza” (Fidel Garrigahad), she had her own romantic dreams, and one of them was to get married to her heartthrob - Eduardo. Eduardo betrays Catalina’s dream by secretly dating an older rich lady "Silvia” for her money. Gustavo (Catalina’s father) is entangled in the schemes of his avaricious wife Adela who lives in a facade of glamorous life that her husband’s income could not sustain. As a way to pay off their increasing debts, they decide to marry off Catalina to a rich old man. Destiny plays a fast one on them in that "Don GuadaLupe” got injured from falling off a horse at his ranch, so it was his son, Sebastian who substituted to meet with Gustavo (Catalina’s father). Later Don GuadaLupe, as a way of testing the motives of the ambitious family, he tells them that Sebastian is not his son after tying a knot with Catalina.
