Editor,I am writing to, first and foremost, thank The New Times management for the space you provide the readers for this newspaper to express our ideas and highlight the issues that affect us where we live.Mine today is about the Masaka Hospital Road which was supposed to be rehabilitated before the end of March this year. That is what the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister, Dr Pierre Damien Habumuremyi, promised the residents of Masaka when he visited the hospital some time back. Following the visit, officials from the City of Kigali used the social networking site Twitter and promised to tarmac the road that leads to the hospital before the end of March 2012. However, instead of putting the tarmac, tractors were brought in to just level the ground. Today, all patients taken to that hospital curse the state of the road and want the government to intervene as soon as possible. RegardsNkusiGasabo
