The youthful Isonga side have been a revelation in the Primus National League this season. The New Times /File

Editor,Allow me to react to a story published in The New Times of April, 30, under the headline "Police won’t honour Isonga replay”I understand the youthful Isonga side had over ten players in the U-20 Junior Wasps contingent which played against Namibia last month. Because of the Namibia African Youth championship qualification game, the club understandably failed to assemble its players in time for the Police fixture since they had arrived in the country just a day or two earlier! Indeed, the youngsters were too fatigued to immediately take on one of the teams tipped to win this season’s Primus League. The FA officials were considerate and re-fixed the match, but now Police FC are insisting they won’t honour the replay. The cops should spare us their cowardice and turn up for the game.  Isonga were on state duty which they accomplished majestically (by winning 2-0) and, therefore, deserve every right to play their league fixture.
