MUHANGA — At least 60 members of different Christian churches have undergone training on media practice organised by the African Evangelistic Enterprise (AEE).
The three-day training was conducted by media experts and practitioners at EPR Muhanga last week. The participants were drawn from various community development groups sponsored by AEE in Muhanga, Kamonyi districts.
"The training was aimed at preparing residents to make news reports and publish the developmental activities and programmes within the communities," said Augustin Nsabimana ,the AEE Muhanga Coordinator.
He explained that participants would train other residents, collect and write news stories on various aspects whose publications will be sponsored by AEE. The newsletters will be distributed to all Christian communities supported by AEE countrywide.
Participants who talked to our reporter commended the sponsors and called for an extension of the training period.
"I have learnt media skills and I am now able to inform and get informed within my community…this training should however be extended to other residents," one said.
AEE is a Christian NGO that supports Church development projects and champions human rights awareness in Rwanda.
