I’m not religious. I’m not on the whole superstitious, and I’ve never seen the face of Jesus in a frying pan. But my title predication for this title race in my head is that any silent boo-boo from APR would be a positive sign for the Law and Order men. Losing the Primus league or the Peace cup would stun Police Fc. So with just four games to the end of the season, is it time for Police to crack out the champagne? Not yet, at least for now.Following a fantastic win in the first round and a draw in the second against APR, thanks to possibly the most thrilling 90 minutes we’ve witnessed at Amahoro stadium this season, Police FC can feel pretty secure if APR fails to win a least one less league game. Meddie Kagere proved that, whatever he might have lost in his legs, he hasn’t lost that killer edge in front of goal. If only one could use a time machine and roll him back against Rayon sports! That’s to say they play brilliantly the whole time despite of losing to Nyanza, but to be honest, that doesn’t really matter anymore. If they play beautiful, thrilling football every match, and lost, it would count for nothing. Their unstoppable display seems to have them on course for a trophy this season.They play well, grind out results and have proved that in the last two years, meaning a little bit of belief goes a long way in the Primus league title race this season. It’s a busy month for the Law and Order team with a few games against the likes stubborn Isonga FC and one or two trips to the Provinces followed by a clash with Marines in the quarter finals of the MTN peace Cup, and Police fans start to dream of a double.If they go ahead to win, which one would it be? Naturally, all Police fans would like to win all, and this would mean taking one step closer to lifting the league trophy and Peace- Cup which they lost 4-2 to APR in the final last season.Despite their league position, Police FC have plenty of quality players in their squad coupled with the fact that they are now handled by  an experienced coach Goran Kapunovic, who, in two years has elevated the team  to the status of title contenders.With Abdul Karim Gashugi back in form, with an average pass completion rate of 90 per cent in his last three games and having made more interceptions than any other player, Police will be hard to beat come next season.For Laudit Mavugo and skipper Kagere, hopefully this would make their cup dream a reality as they will be scrapping for every point, but a need to play in the same manner they have done throughout the season, with focus on a solid defense and rising creativity in front of goal, would mean they might lift the Primus league trophy, featuring in the Orange Champions league next season and cracking the champagne. I can only say coach Goran has done some good work just in two years; physically the team can play 120 minutes and aggressive. Let us hope for the best this season, much as APR is also tightening the grip for the title race. The league can only be won on grass.
