Security guards of Armor Group Rwanda have accused the company of swindling their salaries.

According to the guards, a good of them miss salaries at the end of every month despite confirmations from Armor Security Company that money has been deposited to their bank accounts.

Armor Group Rwanda is a registered and legally licensed security company in the country. The firm currently employs over five hundred Rwandans.

On Monday, some of the company’s guards visited The New Times offices to explain claims on how their salaries ‘are being cheated.’

According to the payroll of August print-out copy, which The New Times has seen, twenty-five guards were supposed to receive Frw1,265,237 from Banque UCT Kacyiru (Union des cooperative des travailleurs de Kacyiru).  But two guards didn’t find their salaries in the bank and another five got half of their pay.

Silas Ntacyasigaye, guard no AGR 000008 whose account number is 040-00474109-19, was supposed to get Frw48, 758 but he didn’t.

Faustin Rukeratabaro, guard number AGR000204, with account number is 040-0047419-19 was equally not paid last month.

"This problem happens every month, when we complain we don’t receive our remaining amounts and when you continue pushing they threaten to sack you,” one of the guards said.

Regis Arnold, Armor Group Managing Director, declined to comment on the accusations when contacted.

He said that he doesn’t talk to journalists. Ends
