God will reward the late Father Niyomugabo
Editor, I wish to react to a story that appeared in The New Times, April, 25, about a genuine and God-fearing Clergyman who sacrificed his life for his flock. It is saddening to hear that Father Joseph Niyomugabo was killed while attempting to protect Tutsis who had sought refuge at his Cyanika Catholic Parish.

Editor,I wish to react to a story that appeared in The New Times, April, 25, about a genuine and God-fearing Clergyman who sacrificed his life for his flock. It is saddening to hear that Father Joseph Niyomugabo was killed while attempting to protect Tutsis who had sought refuge at his Cyanika Catholic Parish. The over 25,000 Tutsis who had sought refuge at the church were later gruesomely killed by the government-backed Interahamwe militia but they had to first do away with Father Niyomugabo .Mankind needs to learn from Niyimugabo. He gave up his life for his people. May the Almightily Lord reward him eternal peace.Ruth KanyangeKigali
