At first, I used to dance, later tried singing – that’s when my friends told me I had a great music talent and they encouraged me to develop it. I now sing and dance.Q: Have you released an album yet?A: Not yet, but I am preparing to release one sometime this year. My songs include ‘Hitamo’, ‘Humiriza’ and my latest, ‘Urabibona’. I have released four songs so far, others are yet to be. I am working on more songs which are to be included on my album.Q: Have you made any collaboration with other artistes?A: Not many, first I did a collabo ‘Umunsi umwe’ with Princess Pricilla and ‘Hitamo’ remix in which I featured Neg G - who is a rapper - after he had appreciated it’s original version.Q: Who are your role models in the music industry?A: Internationally, they are; the late Michael Jackson, Usher Raymond and Chris Brown. Here it is ‘Cassanova’ because he sings and dances in his performances.Q: What are the major challenges that you have faced in this career so far?A: First, you find that a producer may change an appointment that you have been preparing all along- for unspecified reasons, this happens commonly with us, upcoming artistes. Secondly, promoting a song is not so easy, it is a challenging process. Also, some organisers of music shows or concerts call artistes to perform on a show but in the end they don’t facilitate them at all.Q: How do you find the music Industry?A: Comparing with the past years, music is growing fast.Today companies invest in the industry and they benefit a lot in turn. The industry isn’t the best but it’s getting somewhere.Q: What should your fans expect?A: I am working on videos for my songs and more songs which hopefully will be released soon.
