Sunday Mag’s Martin Bishop caught up with her and he gives us the excerpts of his interview.When did you start rapping.I have always loved rapping, even before reaching my teens, I was into rapping. I was always miming western female rappers like Da Brat, Mc Lyte and Foxy Brown. I Started serious rapping in 2009, by then I was using the name LADY KAZZI and I only recorded one Song, after two years I came back with a better style and better stage name Sandra Miraji.Why did you choose this genre.Hip-hop is a type of music that many youth identify themselves with, if you want to reach out to them, theres no better way than to speak their language.Do you think music is an important part of public education and if so, why.No doubt it is! Music is an essential part of everything we do. Music has an abstract quality which speaks to a worldwide audience in a wonderful way that nourishes the soul. It says things your heart can’t say any other way, and in a language everyone speaks. Music crosses borders and turns frowns into smiles. There are so many great hip hop artists, what determines who gets to the top.To make it to the top; you need to have passion and the right attitude.How many songs or albums do you have.I have a good number of hit singles; I’m working on my first album which is going to be released late this year.Where do you see yourself in five years from now. I will be the number one female Hip-hop artist around and still out to conquer !What makes you laugh.Actually I’m made of laughter material!
