The national handball team will be looking to beat Egypt on Wednesday, August 31, and maintain a perfect run in the group stages of the African Handball Confederation (CAHB) African Men’s Youth Championship 2022.

The game gets underway in Kigali at 7 pm, at the BK Arena.

Earlier, on Tuesday night, Rwanda won its opening game, beating Madagascar 53-32.

In the next game, the Rwandans will be hoping to build on their good start.

Speaking to Times Sport, Anaclet Bagirishya, head coach of the national team, expressed optimism for winning the game against Egypt, saying his players are "ready for the challenge.”

He said there should be no room for complacency.

"I have spoken with my players and they all understand why this (against Egypt) is crucial, and we should not be complacent,” he noted.

All the games are played at the BK Arena. Eight teams from different African countries are participating.

The teams are in two groups. Group A has Morocco, Libya, Uganda and Burundi. Group B has Rwanda, Egypt, Algeria and Madagascar.
