I once was watching an interview of one of the most famous fashion designers Carolina Herrera; she said something that I picked. This lady is always spotted wearing her signature white blouses; when asked about this she said that she loves white because it is often a color that is understated and what people do not know is that white has never gone off the rack in the fashion corridors.White dresses are refreshing and summery. The color white connotes purity, innocence and liberty. Wearing white clothes well, however, is a little more complex than the simplicity suggested by the color.During the Golden Globe awards almost three months ago, we saw the crème de la crème in the fashion world of Hollywood in all white dresses. The Spring/Summer 2012 also  features all white fashion trend; and as usual mesmerized fashion lovers have taken the collections so seriously that a day after the Fashion week, fashion lovers were spotted wearing some of the all-white ready to wear collections.There is something cool and refreshing about white clothing that makes it chic all the time; it reflects light and absorbs perspiration, making it less noticeable than other colors. In fact people who like wearing white have a cool and collected composure, even when the mood dictates otherwise. I have been a lover of white for so many years after discovering the secret of wearing white clothes especially where I was born and grew up -in Mombasa; in fact white has been said to be a long-time favorite of people living in hot and tropical climates.The rules of wearing all white are very simple for as long as the color remains intact and crisp even after a few washes. Wearing a white dress on an informal day is easy for as long as you keep it loose. A white tight dress is best left for red carpet instead.  For office wear, try pieces like wide-leg pants and A -line skirts. If you want to wear a beautiful but simple white dress in the office, it can look very flattering and give you that hourglass silhouette if you add a thin belt to it.A few years ago, the rule was to wear white under white. Not anymore. Since white bra, panty, and camisole lines tend to show through your undergarments, designers advise to wear black underneath the white clothes. It is very repulsive to see someone wearing a white dress and a white undergarment popping out.White is a wardrobe must-have in this season more than ever. Fashion catwalks have been filled with creations in white clothes; celebrities are also in love with these outfits. There are new designs that have never featured in white before and need to be embraced now that the designers have taken a step further, we can learn a few tricks here and there how to go about them, and we will be in the wave before we know it- all the time enjoying the comfort and femininity that white has to offer this season.
