Editor, Through your newspaper, I would like appreciate three Chinese companies which helped rescue Rwandans who had been buried under the debris of collapsed Kigali building which was being demolished. On April, 3, 2012 around 1:30p.m, I was going about my business near the Immigration and Emigration Building in Kacyiru, when I heard about the terrible accident that had just happened opposite Umubano Hotel – that a building had collapsed and buried some workers who had been deployed to demolish it. Shortly after, I saw some Chinese people leading a team of Rwandans driving towards the accident site. Later, I got the information that those Chinese I saw were from China Road and Bridge Corporation.  Other Chinese from two other Chinese companies, China Geo-engineering Corporation and Beijing Construction and Engineer Group, also arrived shortly afterwards to lend a hand. The Chinese came immediately after they heard the news of the accident. They helped the national police officers at the scene to rescue those who were buried under the rubble. For me, Chinese are more of brothers with whom we can support each other than just foreign business people Lambert Rucamubyuma Social worker at IPB
