Editor, Reference is made to a story in The New Times, April, 10, under the headline "Malawi’s new president sacks police chief”.This is simply revenge because the new President, Joyce Banda, was practically not looking eye to eye with her predecessor Bingu wa Mutharika (RIP), even when she was the vice president. It should be recalled that Mr Mutharika had kicked her out of the ruling party. Ms Banda will almost certainly attempt to sideline Mr Mutharika’s former staunch allies, including the now sacked police chief, Peter Mukhito.SabinKigali
