It’s all over for Manchester City!

Editor, Personally, I think Manchester City has finally lost grip of the English premiership race after that devastating loss to resurgent Arsenal. Finally, United can go all the way to do what they know best and win their historic twentieth league title. For me, this has not come as a surprise.City started well as the club to beat, at one time leading United by eight points. They did even something that no other team has managed to do in as many years – beating United 6:1 at the Theatre of Dreams! After that defeat, almost everyone, apart from Sir Alex Ferguson perhaps, thought that this season’s title effectively belonged to City. Yet United’s ability to bounce back from that devastating loss to their cross-city rivals is not difficult to trace. When United hit top gear, they are very hard to contend with and when they go on top of the table, they are very hard to replace. Manchester United’s strength lies in the fact that, even when they are having a bad day, they will grind out results. With six games to go, United might surely not win all of them, but they will grind out results as they always do. In games everyone thinks they will lose, they will draw and the ones they seem to be drawing, they will win, until the final day when they will lift the trophy.Regardless of all the oil money they have, United’s noisy neighbors have been put in their place.Pauline MbabaziKigali
