RUHANGO-Police in Ruhango District have arrested a 32-year old man suspected to have killed his wife on Wednesday morning.The suspect is currently detained at Nyamagana police station, Ruhango sector.He allegedly hit his wife with a hoe before finishing her off with a rock, police sources told The New Times.The incident occurred in Buhoro village, Mwendo sector, where the couple lived. The couple, which had one child, was not legally married and had a history of conflict, according to neighbours. Police Spokesperson, Supt Theos Badege, called on residents to always ensure peace in their families."It is sad that we still hear of such deaths while efforts have been made to stop them”, Supt Badege said."Residents must make every effort to improve their relationships and respect laws because they are set for the safety of society”.Investigations into the murder are still ongoing.
