Editor, I wish to respond to Sunny Ntayombya’s article (Guns, abortion...let us end the madness, The New Times, April, 4)In fact, I had earlier read an article by Oscar Kimanuka with similar arguments. My position is that it is women that suffer most when it comes to abortion. Let women determine their lives; in case they want the child then they will not abort and when it is the opposite, then they should be given the right to do so.Henry ShengeSwedenEditor,I want to thank Sunny for his insights on the article on the ongoing debate on whether Rwanda should legalise abortion or not. In fact, I have also followed the discussions on the radio, and like it was stated in the article, both the guests and hosts are always men. Yet this is an issue that primarily affects women. It’s unfair to let the religious leaders be the ones to influence whatever decision will be taken at the end of the day.UmunyanaGasabo
