FRANCE-BASED judo player Fred Yannick Sekamana is representing Rwanda at the 3rd Africa Judo Championship which is underway in Agadia, Morroco.Sekamana, who was identified late last year, wants to represent Rwanda in London and is hoping to seal the minimum required time at this event so as to represent Rwanda at this year’s Olympics Games.Local judo federation’s boss Christian Bisika is in Morocco with Sekamana for the Africa’s only qualifying event.He said recently, "Sekamana has been in good form after winning different French title, we hope he can qualify and represent Rwanda at the Olympics.”Bisika also confirmed that they have already requested a wildcard to enable Sekaman compete at the Games but with the request yet to be given a green light, they have decided to go through this qualifier.Sekamana, who trains at Saint Genevieve Sports judo club in Paris, is among top five athletes in France. This year, he has won the junior France Championship title.Only players, who succeed to get a gold, silver or bronze medals will be able to participate in the up-coming London Olympic.
