China, Bosnia agree to step up cooperation

Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)'s Chairman of the Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda have discussed ways of furthering pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

During their meeting on March 31, Hui said China and BiH have enjoyed deep-rooted friendship and mutual political trust has deepened since they established diplomatic ties 17 years ago. Cooperation in economy, culture and other fields has also made positive progress, Hui said.China appreciated the understanding and support offered by BiH on issues concerning China's core and major interests, Hui said. The vice premier said China is ready to work with BiH to step up practical cooperation between the two countries so as to bring real benefits to the two peoples.Bevanda said his country sees China as a cherished friend and is grateful for China's support.Despite the two countries are different in territory size, national strengthen and development potential, they share the same aspirations for furthering their bilateral cooperation and seeking common development, he said.There is no pending issue to be resolved between the two countries, Bevenda said, expressing his hope that more Chinese enterprises will invest in his country and pledging to offer favorable investment environment and other incentives to them.
