Reading novels and literature books is a great way to spend free time. Net photo.

Most schools have closed for their end of term break. Schools keep students busy throughout the term so during holidays it becomes tough for many kids to decide on what to do. Studies should always be a priority. Form a time table and study regularly. This is a good time to catch up with subjects that appear hard.Since studying alone is not ideal, you can also read fictional books that help with your vocabulary too. TV, movies, and social, networks are all great ways to pass time but they are not mind stimulating. They are not good for your eyes either! What you need are activities that aid in development of intellect and physical stamina. Reading good literature will help you understand contemporary social issues and history and also give you a better understanding of human nature.  It develops one’s intellect and also spontaneously improves their command over the language in which the classic book is. Language is a medium of expression for any individual. Thus, a better grasp over language is always beneficial. During free time, you can also talk to a native speaker of the language or any other person who knows it to improve the efficiency and fluency.Music and dance are other useful creative activities that will keep you refreshed both mentally and physically.Holidays provide one the opportunity to improve physical stamina and keep good health. Following a healthy routine of sleeping early and getting up early is useful in this regard. A person should indulge in regular physical exercises such as walking or swimming to improve the body’s stamina and keep it healthy. House-hold activities like gardening, cleaning etc are equally refreshing and also help in improving physical fitness. It will also make your parents very happy!Since food at school sucks, you can use the holidays to improve your menu. Do not lash out for fast foods only as they are not good for your health. Venture into vegetables, fruits and other nutritious food items.Do not go out and hang with anyone who doesn’t influence you positively. Hanging with alcohol consumers and smokers is not a good idea as that is how people start. It is bad for your health so stay away from anything like that. There are many needy and unfortunate people in this world.  You can reach out to them in your free time and find a way to help them.  You don’t have to be rich to help someone needy. Teach underprivileged children; pass on old books and clothing to them. That is contributing positively towards the development of society.A sensible student is the one who makes the best of the holidays in healthy and positive ways.
