Junior Wasps regroup for Namibia qualifier

HEAD coach Richard Tardy has summoned a strong Junior Wasps’ team to start preparations for the 18th African U-20 Championship qualifying match against Namibia.Rwanda plays away to Namibia in the first leg of the preliminary round on April 21 in Windhoek.After failing to get a friendly match against Gabon, Tardy summoned local players to start preparations which will be carried at Amahoro stadium until Friday this week.According to Tardy, the team will instead play against Police in midweek in a friendly match before being released back to their club before the 1994 Tutsi Genocide commemoration week starts on April 7.The team will report back to camp on April 15 before heading to Windhoek four days later.Should the Junior Wasps manoeuvre their way past Namibia, the task ahead looks even tougher as they face a potential second round clash with West African giants, Mali in July.Junior Wasps squad:Olivier Kwizera (Isonga), Steven Ntalibi (Isonga), Heritier Turatsinze (Isonga), Faustin Usengimana (Isonga), Emery Bayisenge (Isonga), Francois Hakizimana (Isonga), Eric Nsabimana (Isonga), Robert Ndatimana (Isonga), Farouk Ruhinda (Isonga), Hamidou Ndayisaba (Isonga) Patrick Sibomana (Isonga), Hamdan Bariyanga (Etincelles), Gad Niyonshuti (Rayon Sports), Emmanuel Sebanani (Mukura), Tumaine Ntamuhanga (Rayon Sports), Marcel Nzarora (Isonga) Michel Rusheshangoga (Isonga), Patrick Umwungeli (Kiyovu), Isaie Songa(SEC), Yussuf Habimana (La Jeunesse), Jean d’Amour Uwimana (Police) and Amran Nshimiyimana (AS Kigali).
