At least 12 people were killed and dozens of others seriously injured in a bus crash on the highway linking the Kenyan capital Nairobi and Mombasa Sunday night, police said Monday.Coast Provincial Police Chief Aggrey Adoli confirmed the incident which took place in Mazeras, about 20 km from Mombasa. Adoli said the bus, which was travelling from Mombasa to Kinango in Kwale County atthe time, lost control and rolled over several times, killing 12 people aboard instantly and leaving dozens others seriously injured."The vehicle landed in the ditch after rolling several times. Five of those taken to hospital are in a critical condition. The accident was a result of brake failure,” Adoli said.
