TodayTeam Uganda     vs  Rwanda  9:00amThe national cricket team beat Uganda’s World Cup U19 team in an international friendly on Saturday at Kyambogo oval.The friendlies between Rwanda and Uganda are part of the national team’s preparation for this month’s ICC Africa Twenty20 Division 3 competition in Johannesburg, South Africa.In the first match, Rwanda beat the Ugandan U-19 team by 8 wickets. Uganda made 104 runs in 20 overs. Srinath Vardhineni picked 4 wickets and Desire Manirambona took 3 wickets.Andre Kayitera 48 runs not out, was Rwanda’s top scorer and was ably helped by Don de dieu Mugisha 19 runs not out.In the second match of the day, the tourists lost to a more experienced Uganda Select IX by six wickets. Rwanda put on 124 runs in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Andre Kayitare was agan the star as he put on 36 runs and Bob Bashir put on 32 runs. Uganda then chased and reached the target for the loss of five wickets in 16 overs.Rwanda is set to play the third and final match against Uganda national team this morning at Lugogo oval.
