I would like to tell Rwandans to respond quickly to the alarm drums on food crisis. If there is something people cannot do without, then it is food. We have to do all it takes to equip ourselves with enough food both in homes and gardens.

Since some countries like Pakistan, china, etc that have been supplying the world with rice, which is an important cereal crop as far as Rwanda is concerned, are threatening to hold it back. They have realised too that in selling a lot of their produce, they may be putting their population at risk of hunger.

Our neighbouring countries like Tanzania are not doing anything good in terms of supplying rice either. This lives at cross roads and we need to be extremely careful to avoid the threat.
