Koln chairman Werner Wolf has reportedly informed the club’s board members that star forward Lukas Podolski will join Arsenal at the end of the season.The Germany international has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates and the Gunners are confident of finalising the proposed €12.9 million transfer before the end of the month.Wolf has now confirmed the details of Podolski’s summer switch to his colleagues, according to Express.Koln had been hoping that a lucrative new contract might persuade the player to stay but the 26-year-old attacker has becoming increasingly frustrated by the Bundesliga strugglers’ lack of progress on and off the field.Podolski, who is out of contract in June 2013, is currently in his second stint with his hometown club, having rejoined from Bayern Munich in 2009.
