New Telecommunications Company Airtel is set to partner with Ferwafa to organise a youth football tournament aimed at unearthing raw talents across the country.Speaking to Times Sport yesterday, Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Gasigwa Michel said they are yet to finalise on the finer details of the tournament but hailed the move which will see young talented footballers getting the opportunity to show case their talent."We are still discussing details with Airtel on which places to conduct the tournament, which teams will take part and dates the tournament."But all that will finalised in the coming weeks. This will be a good opportunity for our young footballers to showcase their talent,” Gasigwa said.Airtel was granted an operating license last year in September to become the third mobile operator after MTN and Tigo. The company officially started operations on Friday.Just like the national U-17 team showed last year by qualifying for the U-17 Fifa World Cup, youth structures have proved to be sure way of developing football in the country.After playing in the World Cup, the team was drafted into the elite Primus league and there are currently 7th on league table after defeating traditional big teams like APR, Rayon Sports and Mukura.
