The body of a man who was allegedly stabbed and dumped in Lake Kivu was recovered two days ago by Police in Karongi District.The body of the deceased, identified as Gideon Niyitegeka, 20, was discovered with knife wounds in the head, chest and the back."No one was able to identify the deceased’s origin but we suspect that he could have been dumped in the lake while in Rutsiro District,” a police source said.The source revealed that the body had been floating for about three days and witnesses say it could have been propelled by waves towards Karongi."Basing on the direction from which the body was discovered, it is possible that wind could have propelled it from the murder site,” Evariste Nyandwi, a fisherman who first saw the body reportedly told police.
