The club has been given to Tunisian born Faouzi Benzarti. The Tunisian journeyman coach is back in Sousse for a fourth time in his trophy filled career while Krauss resumes his post as technical director in charge of youth development. Benzarti was given a four-year contract. Benzarti’s hiring represents the third coaching change at the Sousse-based side this season.Asked what his opinions were on the factors leading to the ESS being 11 points off the pace set by Tunisian league leaders CA Bizertin, Benzarti said he thought that the players were mainly suffering from a lack of fighting spirit and that some modifications were needed."They need some stability, a few tactical alterations, application, and rigorousness. Sometimes you can have a good player but he won’t have spirit. I need that spirit, I need players that give their all,” he explained.ESS hosts APR next Friday in the second leg of their Champions League tie.The goalless result in the first leg in Kigali leaves the tie finely balanced heading into the return leg but the military side will need a scoring draw to progress to the second round.
