Fitidis shines in Ugandan Rally Championship

RWANDA rally driver Christakis Fitidis is satisfied with his performance that has seen him conquer the opening rounds of Ugandan National Rally Championship.

After the opening two rounds, Fitidis leads the championship race with 135 points."I have competed in two rallies here (Uganda), and reached the podium twice. I finished second in the Mbarara race, last month, before clinching third position in Masaka this month."In general, I’m happy with my performances, especially that I am competing in the Ugandan championship on a Rwandan license,” he told Times Sport. Having finished second behind Jas Mangat in Mbarara rally, Fitidis and his co-driver Eric Maxime Nzamwite in a Subaru N12, finished the Masaka event behind 2010 Ugandan national champion Nasser Mutebi, who won his first national event after a four-year jinx. Duncan Mubiru came second.
