I grew up knowing that there was a living music legend in Rwanda. Thanks to him and a few others like him, Rwanda’s culture is alive and kicking on the local music scene. Sentore was a great composure and vocalist, and there’s no doubt our country has lost a great talent. Nonetheless, because of his foresightedness and generosity, he groomed many local artistes and it’s my hope they take over the mantle. RIP Mzee Sentore.
