I admire nice looking compounds

Young people especially boys have been brought up in a way that does not allow them to do domestic work; domestic work is meant for girls and not boys.

This is unfair as all children are equal. Children should share duties because we are now living in a world were both men and women share responsibilities.

In fact families where both girls and boys share duties do not find it difficult to do domestic work when the maids are on holidays.

When maids are not around at least any child in the house is able to do any work assigned to him or her.

It even becomes more interesting seeing a boy child doing certain things at home. Boys are like others children at home.

If trained, boys are able work as girl children do. Some of these duties are like; planting flowers or trees in a compound, moping and sweeping the house plus cooking or caring for the little ones.

Bravo to the boy child in the photo, this photo was taken by the time school children were getting their first term holidays.

The boy in the photo was rushing to plant flowers he had got from the school compound. "I admire a nice looking compound." The boy told the Children’s Times.

The boy further told the Children’s Time reporter that planting flowers in their compound is not a responsibility but a hobby.

He intends to plant different types of flowers to make his home compound more beautiful and attractive.
