Editor,It’s indeed good news to hear that Qatar Airways has made its maiden flight to Rwanda. The arrival of Qatar Airways will surely boost trade not only in Rwanda but in the region as well.Most importantly, the move comes as a huge boost to Rwanda’s economy and the aviation industry. However, we need to work harder if we are to benefit from opportunities that come with these new airlines. We need to work on our customer service (quality service delivery), for example, and put up enough infrastructure  like hotels. Security, of course, is our core asset but we need to maintain and beef  up it further, not forgetting to put up aviation schools that train our people. Businesses should now seize the moment and improve the quality of our exports. Value addition is the deal. Farmers, too, need to improve the quantity of their produce. Qatar is a major horticulture market, something we should fully exploit. These are new gates that are open for our unemployed people. God bless Rwanda.SabinKigali
