As an ardent football fan, I was among the many fans around the around whose eyes were glued to the television when Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba, suddenly, collapsed in the middle of White Hart Lane stadium, away from the ball.

The Congolese-born English footballer was the reason why referee Howard Webb took the players off the field and suspended the FA cup quarter final game which was tied at 1-1 on 41 minutes, as the world football joined in prayers for the health of Muamba, who was rushed to the heart attack centre of the London Chest Hospital where he reportedly remains in critical condition. I was particularly touched by the reaction from the players and fans from both sides, who were intensely worried and nervous following the incident. As Muamba fights for his life, my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Hoping he recovers sooner than later. Peter ButeraKigali
