Rwanda 45-15 South Sudan
Rwanda U-17 women’s national handball team, on Wednesday won their second game at the 2023 the ongoing Zone 5 women's youth and junior tournament of the IHF Trophy Africa after beating South Sudan 45-15 at Benjamin Mkapa Indoor Stadium in Tanzania.
Anaclet Bagirishya ‘s women are unbeaten during their past two games and opened the campaign with a 52-2 humiliating win over Djibouti on Tuesday.

The girls were again dominant on Wednesday as they registered another comfortable win against South Sudan.
Rwanda won the first half 21-6 before extending the lead in the second with 24-9 to take home a 45-15 victory.
They will close the group stages on Thursday, April 27, with a game against hosts Tanzania.
Eight countries from Eastern Africa — Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan and Tanzania — are taking place in the regional youth (U17) competition.
They were divided into two groups where Rwanda, Tanzania, Djibouti and South Sudan were pooled in Group A while Ethiopia, Kenya, Burundi and Somalia are competing in Group B.

The group stages will see the two best teams from each group advance to the semi-finals, while the other sides will move to the placement matches 5-8.
The finals and the third-place encounters at the tournament are scheduled for Sunday 30 April.
The Zone 5 women's youth and junior tournament serves as a qualification event for the Continental Phase of the Women's IHF Trophy Africa.
