SULFO national cricket league will start in July according to Emmanuel Byiringiro, the Secretary General of the Rwanda Cricket Association.Explaining the delay of the start of the league, Byiringiro, a veteran player with Impala said the league will use the 50 overs format."We wanted the league to start in the dry part of the year where there are interferences of rain. The players will be playing the 50 overs kind of format (which basically takes the whole day),” Byiringiro told Times Sport yesterday.Meanwhile, the Computer Point T-20 tournament continues this weekend with two games on the cards. Indorwa will take on Challengers on Sunday morning while KCC will play in the aafternoon.Right Guards, KCC and Indorwa are tied at the top of the the table with 4 points though Right Guards who won last year’s Sulfo league have a better run rate of 387 to 139 and 130 of KCC and Indorwa respectively.There are currently six clubs in the cricket league which include: Indorwa, Challengers, Kigali Cricket Club (KCC),Right Guards, Victory and Impala but Byingiro told this paper that two more clubs will join the league this year.
