Boys’ fixtures March 18Uganda vs RwandaKenya vs BurundiMarch 19Rwanda vs KenyaUganda vs BurundiMarch 20Burundi vs TanzaniaKenya vs Uganda Girls’ fixturesMarch 18Rwanda vs TanzaniaUganda vs BurundiMarch 19Tanzania vs UgandaRwanda vs KenyaMarch 20Kenya vs BurundiUganda vs RwandaRWANDA handball teams got on road to Nairobi this morning to seek bragging rights for the East Africa representative in the U-20 Continental Championships.The Rwandan Men and Women U-20 teams left this morning aboard Kampala Coach to Nairobi where they are expected to face the region’s best in an eight-day handball tournament which will kick off on Saturday at will be held in Kenya Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.According to Alfred Twahirwa, secretary general of Rwanda handball federation, the Women team which is the defending champions after winning the title in 2010 in Kigali, is looking forward for another good display in the regional games to again represent East Africa to the continental championship."Both teams are well prepared and we are again heading into these games with high confidence,” he told this paper yesterday.The women U-20 team which finished fourth in the continental championship last year is coached by Xavier Francois Ngarambe while the Slyvestre Shema Mudahari is handling the men’s team.The Rwanda U-20 handball teams (both ladies and men) have been intensively training at Kimisagara sports centre for the past two weeks in preparation for the East Africa U-20 Handball Championship.On match day one for ladies, Rwanda will battle it out with Tanzania while Ugandan ladies take on Burundi in the second match. In the boys’ category, Uganda will play Rwanda while Kenya will play Burundi.
