THE National cricket team will play two build up games against a select Ugandan side at the end of the of this month as they continue preparations for the Africa Division 3 tournament that runs from April 25-29.
Rwanda’s fixturesApril 25Mali vs RwandaGambia vs RwandaApril 26Cameroon vs RwandaMorocco vs RwandaApril 27Rwanda vs ZambiaApril 28Rwanda vs SeyecellesRwanda vs St.HelenaApril 29Play offsTHE National cricket team will play two build up games against a select Ugandan side at the end of the of this month as they continue preparations for the Africa Division 3 tournament that runs from April 25-29.According to Emmanuel Byiringiro, the Secretary General of the Rwanda Cricket Association,the matches will be played on 31st and 1st April at either Lugogo or Kyambogo cricket ovals."The Uganda Cricket Association has agreed our request to play friendlies against their team.We hope that it will give the coach a clear picture of the team’s readiness to defend their crown,” the former Rwandan international all-rounder said.The National cricket team will be hoping to hold opposition like Cameroon, Mali, Morocco, St.Helena, Zambia, Gambia and Seyecelles in the four day tournament.Rwanda won the tournament last year after defeating Seyecelles by eight runs to bag their first continental trophy in 12 years,the team now has a new coach-Collin Siller who is set to name his 18 man squad today.
