Editor,I wish to react to an article that appeared in The Sunday Times, March, 11, regarding Imbuto Foundation rewarding a group of 38 top female students in Kamonyi, Muhanga and Ruhango districts in the Southern Province, for their academic excellence.Since its inception, Imbuto Foundation has actively promoted girl child education and sensitised many children on their rights.I wish to congratulate the First Lady, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame, who is also the founding president of the Foundation and her team, for effectively implementing various programmes that benefit women and children in Rwanda.Their campaign will surely instill in children a strong desire to read harder, which will help make efficient leaders of tomorrow. An educated society is what we really need today.Jeannette MusoneraNyagatare
