Time has come when Rwandans must open their eyes and find a way to build a better country. For several years now, people have been working hard to make Rwanda a better place to live. We know that Rwanda has suffered a lot and that is why there is so much needed to re-build it.Since the birth of the idea of re-making a better Rwanda, the question left is how to make the nation stronger. We shall not build our nation through speaking but by working hard. The moment we keep on dreaming and not doing anything, we shall realize that it is too late, and that time has run out. The time is now to get creative and innovative in order to achieve our targets. There is nothing that comes abruptly in success. All the successful people have made it due to hard work, having a vision and purpose. We already have a vision and purpose to build a better Rwanda (Vision 2020). The fact is that we can only build our nation through increasing our passion for entrepreneurship and innovation. It doesn’t require us to be employed in big companies but what is necessary is that we create our own jobs rather than become jobseekers. In addition, it is not by doing extra-ordinary things that we can become successful but it’s only through doing ordinary things better than anyone else.We have potential to do or become whatever we want to be. It is not a matter of blaming circumstances; but getting set and focused on the ultimate vision. The tendency of thinking that official jobs are the only way to success is not enough, as youth we have to think outside the box and become job creators. As long as you can do something that earns you a living, embark on it and figure if it won’t improve your lifestyle. Credit belongs to the man who is actually in the field, whose face is dirtied by dust, sweat and blood, who spends himself in a worthy cause. Therefore, as long as a job can earn you a living while at the same time adds credit to your principles and values, don’t sit around lazing away, just go for it. People are what they believe themselves to be-more-no-less. We have to be courageous enough to be ourselves in order to discover what we want and go for it.The author is a student at MOC/John Brown University
