Niyonshuti for ABSA Epic race

NATIONAL cyclist Adrien Niyonshuti is among 1200 riders gearing up for the South African ABSA epic race that will run from March 25 to April 1.The 25 year old who rides for MTN Qhubeka will also be using the race as preparations for the London 2012 Olympic Games that are due in June.Niyonshuti told South African cycling magazine whistler mountain bikes that his target is to finish in the top 5 this year. "For me, the Cape Epic is one of the most important races on the calendar and I believe each time I take part in it, I grow as a rider and gain strength. It would be a dream to finish in the top 5 in the Absa Cape Epic this year.”Niyonshuti who renewed his contract with the South African club early this year said.The two time Tour of Rwanda winner finished in 9th position last year.The 2012 ABSA epic race route is as follows: Prologue: Meerendal 27km Stage 1: 115kmStage 2: 119kmStage 3: 147kmStage 4: 105kmStage 5: 119kmStage 6: 85kmStage 7: 64km
