The relevance of focusing on TVET is seen by the fact that majority that undertake this education, are already employed by the time they complete their studies. The need to develop technical skills cannot be overemphasised as the country has low levels of technical capacity in various sectors that are key to meeting the country’s vision. Technical and vocational skills training is vital for innovation and development. Those with the skills are a boost to the ongoing social economic transformation.Government’s intervention in this sector is starting to bear fruit, but there is still a lot to be achieved. Therefore, efforts aimed at creating necessary conditions for females to excel in technical and vocational skills would be timely.
