The Governor of Southern Province, Alphonse Munyentwari, yesterday launched a book that will help women leaders improve their leadership skills.The 50- page book - "Umugore Itoze Kuyobora” was printed with the support from Programme d’Appui à la Gouvernance locale du Rwanda (PAGOR), a project funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).CIDA supports the decentralization policy through strengthening local governance in Nyamagabe and Nyaruguru Districts.During the launch, Munyentwari, appealed to women to read the book if they aspire to be good leaders."This book will not only help women currently in leadership, but will also prepare you as future leaders to take over when your turn arrives,” he said.Nyamagabe Vice Mayor in charge of Economic Affairs, Immaculee Mukarwego Umuhoza, said the initiative came because there were many challenges women face in administration.She explained pointed out that the book gives detailed information about the challenges and how women can go about them in a professional manner.The book is written in Kinyarwanda and 500 copies will first be distributed at various outlets or book shops.
