Editor, I am impressed by the progress our young boys, mainly former members of the U-17 football team. Isonga FC have really become a revelation in the Primus National League. I was particularly surprised by their triumph over local giants and perennial champions APR FC.

It is not the first time the youngsters have pulled an upset in the league. The other day they beat Rayon Sports and the first game they lost against APR was on a small margin.I think Isonga has not only brought life back into the national league but also show the prospects of Rwandan soccer. If they continue like this, I believe they will go a long way.The league needed new blood to break the dominance of the ‘big clubs’. They have brought back a sense of competitiveness and teams now know they can’t take things for granted anymore.Abdoul RwigemaKigali
