HARD CALL:Police will be looking to collect all three points on SundayAFTER missing an opportunity to broaden lead on rivals, Police have turned focus to grabbing a win over Rayon Sports on Sunday when both sides clash in a Primus national football league match at Nyamirambo stadium.Nyanza, a relegation battling side stopped Police’s quest for the league title at home following a 2-0 victory courtesy of deserved goals from Aimable Rucogoza and Théoneste Muhayimana.Police Serbian coach Goran Kopunovic told Times Sport yesterday that they played a tough game and blamed the loss to poor ground and lack of concentration from his players."We played a tough game and lack of concentration from players played another factor in conceding the two goals. We missed a penalty that would have otherwise changed the scores,”"We didn’t enjoy playing our usual football because of the bad shape of the playing field,” said Kopunovic.Kopunovic further added they have learnt a lot from this experience and all eyes are fixed on the weekend’s tricky encounter against the blues."We have to win this game if we are to remain in the contention for the title. I am going to refresh my players. Rayon Sports had enough rest and it’s unfortunate that we will not have any prior to our game,”"Nevertheless, we are optimistic and ready to meet Rayon Sport with an aim of bagging three points,” added Kopunovic.Police and Mukura lead the league standings with 30 points but the law enforcers sit atop of the standings with a wider goal difference. The pair are six points ahead of defending champions APR whose title defense suffered a set back following a 1-2 loss to Isonga on Wednesday. There are three matches on card tomorrow. APR hosts AS Kigali at Nyamirambo stadium, Marines plays away to Kiyovu at Mumena while Espoir will host Mukura in Rusizi. On Sunday, Isonga will host Etincelles at Nyamirambo stadium, Amagaju play away to Nyanza with Police rocking horns against Rayon Sports.
