Editor, I was delighted to read an article in The New Times of March 6, titled "Qatar launches maiden flight.” As various officials, including the Director General, Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority, have very rightly said, Qatar Airways is one of the most prestigious airlines with very high operating standards. This airline has been present in India for decades and serves not just the two main gateways, Mumbai and New Delhi, but has an extensive network covering the entire country. The airline has won many accolades over the years and occupies a top position even in the minds of the discerning traveler. With this background and enviable record in the field of civil aviation , the commencement of flights into Kigali by Qatar Airways will surely be a boon to India , particularly to investors,  travel agents, tour operators and organizers of MICE events ( meetings , incentives , conferences and exhibitions) in my country.Wishing Qatar Airways every success on their new Doha-Kigali route and many happy landings in Rwanda. Clarence Fernandes clavinmarketing@gmail.com
