APR head coach Ben Moussa has rallied his team to put Police FC defeat aside and make a quick return to winning ways to keep their title race alive.
APR dropped points after suffering a shock 2-1 defeat away to Police at Kigali Pelé Stadium on Saturday in what was the law enforcers’ first victory over the military side since 2012.
The loss saw the defending champions surrender the top spot to Kiyovu who now lead the table with 56 points after beating Gorilla FC 2-1 at Muhanga Stadium, a result that put them in a firm position to finally win their first league title in 30 years.

Despite the slipup, however, Moussa insists his men can recover from the loss quickly and continue their title chase no matter what.
"The goals came as a result of our mistake in defense which gave Police the chance to score so we need to fight back in the next matches" Moussa said
"We will bounce back to keep our hopes alive. There are four matches left, so you cannot count us out of contention for the league title yet.”
"Our strikers did their best but the poor shape of the playing surface couldn’t allow us pass the ball as well as we wanted," he noted
APR now sit second on the table with 53 points, trailing three points behind SC Kiyovu.
Their league season will be defined in the final four games in which they will face AS Kigali, relegation candidates Espoir FC, Rwamagana and Gorilla.
