A few weeks ago Rwanda won the best exhibitors award at the annual ITB Berlin tourism exhibition. It is a reflection of what is actually on the ground in Rwanda.

Any keen observer in Kigali today would easily realize that the city is teeming with many foreigners and most of them tourists.

This week we set out to discover what attracts most of the foreigners especially the whites to the country of a thousand hills.

A random survey on the streets of Kigali indicated that the country is fast becoming a popular destination for young holiday makers from European countries and North America.

Many of them are attracted by the famous mountain gorillas in the Volcano Park among other tourist attractions. All this translates into foreign exchange flowing into the country.

The increasingly active night life of Kigali is also a source of more fun for the young travelers who are always eager to sample what Kigali’s night life has to offer. All this we are witnessing today has been made possible by the good work of those in charge of our tourism.

Many people visiting Rwanda today are genuinely awed by the progress that has been made in a relatively short period of time especially after the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda.

The cleanliness of Kigali city makes many feel like staying forever. All this has been possible because of the good leadership that Rwanda has.
