In the first half, Were Ooko, Mukaisi Alusiola and Okello Ojwang had scoring opportunities but failed to put away their chances.Midway through the second half, Tusker Coach Sammy Omollo brought on Erasto Ndege, Joseph Ani and Ochiengo Owino but the Kenyan side still failed to break down APR’s defence.APR will now play Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia in the first round. The first leg is slated for the weekend of March 23-25 in Kigali while the return leg is planned for the weekend of April 6-8 in Tunis. In the Orange Confederation Cup, SC Kiyovu was sent packing after a 2-1 loss to Tanzania’s Simba. The green baggies lost 2-3 on goal aggregates.
