UTAH Saints’ Tim Garbutt has said that Adele does not have the same devoted fanbase as Lady GaGa.The dance star told Digital Spy that despite Adele performing "amasingly”, the devotion of GaGa’s fans is a rare thing in modern music."Music isn’t so closely linked to fashion as it used to be,” Garbutt said. "You used to be able to tell by the way someone was dressed what type of music they were into. It was identifiable as a fashion trend and a culturally underground/overground kind of thing.He added: "The days of it being unifying are over for a bit. But it’s interesting that the person with the biggest fanbase, the biggest artist on the planet, is Lady GaGa. She’s got her monsters. She’s managed to bring it all together."For an artist to do that now is tricky. I’m not taking anything away from Adele for example, she’s done amazingly, but she’s not got what Lady GaGa’s got - these passionate fans.GaGa herself praised Adele following her Grammys success, claiming that she deserved a seventh award for being "such a kind and lovely woman”.
