This week in Fashion, our fashion corps have arrested a number of fashion offenders who seemed to have robbed one-colour accessories from clothes and jewellery shops.Fashion FlopSo they are charged with wearing one colour from head to toe. For crying out loud, it’s just so not cool. On the other hand, maybe the fashion corner is just not informed. Has Rwanda been celebrating Halloween lately!You have seen them moving around town, or you even share an office with some of them. She comes wearing a yellow top, yellow hair band, yellow earrings, and yellow skinny jeans and boots….oh and her peeping yellow panty. Oh please! Do not kill our eyes unless of course one is advertising for a company that sells paint, crayons and Halloween attire.What I am trying to say is that it is too local unfashionable, local and stale to wear too much of one colour all through. Come on people, style up! So below is the right way to go about matching and mixing colours.Fashion props If you thought it was cool, to wear too much of one colour, you got it wrong. Learn to match and mix your colours well but do not overdo it still.Have a maximum of at least three colours on your dressing list for the day.If you decide to wear coffee brown pants or trousers, you can blend that with a cream, white or yellow shirt/top.Your earrings can be cream, or white in colour and you can maintain the brown or black for the shoes.If you decide to do a pink dress, don’t wear pink jewellery, handbag and shoes. Mix the colours. Go for multi coloured jewellery with a tiny blend of pink, carry a brown handbag and stilettos or ballet shoes, most preferably not pink or any of those scream out loud (sol) colours.Match and mix dull colours with sol ones but do not wear a cocktail of colours all through.Observe these fashion tips lest you are arrested by our fashion corps that could be in your neighbourhood.
