The national football second division action returns today with last year’s first division’s relegated side Zebra battling Pepeniere in Gicumbi, Northern Province.

Fallen from the first Division last season, Zebra Football club is currently facing tough times in the lower division league.

Zebra placed in Pool B has ten points after playing seven league fixtures.

Zebra has recorded three victories, one draw and lost three games.

Muhanga leads the table in Pool B with 18 points, two points ahead of Musanze.

Etoile de L’est is on third with 12 points while Yellow Stars has 11 points.

Both Espoir and Intare, who are tied on nine points, stand one point behind Zebra.

Interforce and ISAE have accumulated six and five points while Pepeniere is placed bottom spot without a point.

Fixtures in Pool B have Intare hosting Espoir at Kamena grounds; Musanze clash with Etoile de L’est in Ruhengeri, ISAE hosts Interforce in Ruhengeri while Yellow Stars plays away to Muhanga.

Pool A is led by Rwanda National University (UNR) with 14 points, a point ahead of Jeunesse.

Stella Maris is third with 12 points while Sorwathe, Union and Mukungwa are tied on 10 points.

Pool A fixtures are set for next weekend.
